Finding Spirit and Self within Nature

We tend to think of nature as a place we go to exercise, recreate and/or relax, but nature’s potential for healing, inspiration, spiritual connection is often unacknowledged in our modern world. In this talk, Zoë will discuss the intrinsic healing qualities of nature, and show how we can join with nature to enhance spiritual connection, promote self-confidence, and inspire creativity. The 7th UU principle pertaining to our interconnectedness and interdependence with all of existence is integral to this talk, as we learn how to shift our mentality from spending time in nature, to exploring ourselves with nature as our teacher and companion.

Research shows that women are more likely to settle with mediocrity due to lack of confidence. This, in turn, impacts our sense of value and overall life fulfillment. What can we do about this? One route is to nurture our emotional/spiritual/mental self with the same effort we dedicate to nourishing and recharging our bodies.
I’ll show you how being present in nature uniquely helps us to nurture our passions, process our emotions, and inspire our creativity. Empowered, we can live life boldly, authentically, and courageously.
